Issue : On certain RV trailers, the shock bolts may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the bolts could break. If this happens, the bolts and washers could separate and fall from the trailer Note: This recall only affects certain trailers equipped with Curt touring coil suspensions. Safety Risk: Parts that fall from the trailer could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: KZ RV will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to replace the shock bolts.

Issue: On a small number of RV trailers, an emergency exit window may not have been installed. As a result, you may not be able to escape from the trailer in an emergency if the entry door is blocked. Safety Risk: A missing emergency exit could increase the risk of injury in an emergency. Corrective Actions: KZ RV will notify the owners by mail and instruct them to take their trailer to a dealership to install an emergency exit window.

Issue: On certain RV trailers, the fabric for the patio awning may not be properly attached. As a result, the awning could detach and fall from the trailer. Safety Risk: An awning that falls from the trailer could create a risk of injury. An awning that falls from a moving vehicle could create road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: KZ RV will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealership to inspect the fabric roll on the awning. It will be repaired or replaced, as necessary.

Issue: On certain RV trailers, the propane (LP) regulator could fail. If this happens, high-pressure propane could reach the appliances. Note: This recall only affects trailers equipped with a Winntec model 6020 propane regulator. Safety Risk: Unregulated propane pressure can create the risk of an appliance fire. Corrective Action: KZ RV will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your travel trailer to a dealer, to replace the propane (LP) regulator.

Certain motorhomes are not compliant with Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 120 - Tire Selection and Rims for Motor Vehicles With a GVWR of More Than 4 536 kg. The compliance, tire and loading information label does not list the correct tire size. The label incorrectly indicates a tire size of ST235/80R16G, while the motorhomes are fitted with ST235/85R16G. If an owner or dealer were to install the wrong size tires, this could create an increased risk of a tire failure, which could result in a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the tire and loading information label.

If this happens while the vehicle is in motion, the awning may detach, creating a potential road hazard and increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. On certain travel trailers equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly. On certain travel trailers built with an outside kitchen option, the sealing tape on the propane gas line for the outside kitchen was not installed during manufacturing. In addition, the testing to insure the propane line does not have leaks was not performed. Propane gas in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire and/or an explosion causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will ensure proper installation of the propane line and will test the propane system for leaks.
