  Issue: On a small number of RV trailers, hardware for the patio railing may be missing. As a result, the railing could move and cause a person to fall. Safety Risk: A railing that moves could create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Keystone advises you not to use the patio until the recall repairs have been completed. Keystone will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to install the missing patio railing hardware.

  Issue: On certain RV trailers, the fuel station controller could fail. If this happens, the fuel station may not work or the controller could catch fire. Safety Risk: The fuel station controller could fail and catch fire. Corrective Actions: Keystone will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to inspect the circuit protection for the fuel station controller. The dealer will install a 15 A fuse if the circuit is on an auto-reset circuit breaker, and seal the back of the controller by installing a plastic box around it. To reduce the safety risk, Keystone recommends that you should check to ensure that a 15 A fuse is installed on the fuel station controller circuit, or unplug the controller until the recall repairs have been completed.

  Issue: On certain RV trailers, the foot pad for the hydraulic leveling jack may become loose and detach from the vehicle while towing. Safety Risk: A foot pad that detaches from the trailer could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Keystone will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your RV trailer to a dealer to inspect and, if necessary, tighten the leveling jack foot pad.

  Issue: On certain RV trailers, the wire connections for the shore power inlet may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the connections could loosen and cause a short circuit or electrical arcing (sparks). Safety Risk: A short circuit or electrical arcing could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Keystone will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealer to tighten the wire connections for the shore power inlet. If the connections can't be tightened, the shore power inlet will be replaced.

  Issue: On certain RV trailers, the wiring for the solar controller may not have been installed correctly. Under certain conditions, this could cause the 12 V DC electrical system not to work properly (including the carbon monoxide and propane gas detector). If this happens, you would not be alerted if there was a buildup of propane gas and/or carbon monoxide inside the trailer. Note: This recall affects trailers with a SolarFlex 200 or 400i system. Safety Risk: A buildup of propane gas inside the trailer could create the risk of an explosion or fire. A buildup of carbon monoxide could result in carbon monoxide poisoning. Corrective Actions: Keystone will notify owners by mail and give you directions for how to use the VictronConnect app to check the battery voltage. This can help you ensure that the wiring for the solar controller is connected correctly. If it is not, they will ask you to bring your trailer to a dealer to correct the wiring. If the VictronConnect app shows that the battery voltage is over 14.4 V, you should disconnect the battery from the solar power and take the trailer to a dealer for service.

  Issue: On certain RV trailers, the propane (LP) regulator could fail. If this happens, high-pressure propane could reach the appliances. Note: This recall only affects trailers equipped with a Winntec model 6020 propane regulator. Safety Risk: Unregulated propane pressure can create the risk of an appliance fire. Corrective Action: Keystone will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your travel trailer to a dealer to replace the propane (LP) regulator.

  Issue: On certain travel trailers equipped with a Dometic propane gas stove, there could be an odour of propane gas after a short period of use. If a user attempts to tighten the bolt for the stove's valve in order to stop the smell, they could over-tighten the bolt and cause damage to a seal. This can result in a constant gas leak. Safety Risk: A propane gas leak could create the risk of a fire or explosion. Corrective Action: Keystone RV will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealer to replace the defective hardware and perform a leak test. To reduce the safety risk, Keystone RV recommends that you should not use the propane system or any propane appliance in the trailer until the recall repairs have been completed.

  Issue: On certain fifth-wheel trailers, the generator transfer switch wiring may not be connected correctly. As a result, the power cord may be back-fed with electricity when the generator is running. Safety Risk: A power cord that is back-fed with electricity could create a risk of electrocution. Corrective Actions: Keystone will notify owners by mail and instruct you to start the generator to determine if there is power inside of the trailer. If there is no power inside the trailer while the generator is running, you should contact a dealer to have the wiring to the power transfer switch repaired. Keystone recommends that you should not use your generator until the recall repairs are completed.

  On certain vehicles equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly.   On certain fifth wheel trailers manufactured with a Christianson Industries exterior foldable ladder, the ladder's mounting bracket could separate from the hinge due to an incorrect weld. This could result in the ladder separating from the vehicle, which if an individual were to be utilizing the ladder, it could lead to an increased risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will install a hinge brace over the back of the existing hinges to secure the hinge and mounting bracket.
