Issue: On certain trucks, a software problem could cause the stop lamps, low beam headlamps, high beam headlamps, reverse lamps and turn signal lamps not to turn on, or to turn on unexpectedly. This problem could also cause the lift axle(s) to raise or lower on their own. Safety Risk: Lamps that don't work properly could reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash. Lift axles that move unexpectedly could increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: PACCAR will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to update the vehicle software.

This could also cause the engine to stall while driving. Note: This recall only affects trucks equipped with an L9/PX-9 engine. Safety Risk: A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Additionally, a sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: PACCAR and/or Cummins will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a Cummins authorized service centre to install improved fuel filter hoses.
