    Issue: On certain hybrid motorcycles, a software problem could cause the transmission to shift to neutral when shifting from first to second gear. If this happens, there would be a sudden loss of power to the rear wheel. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of power to the wheel could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Kawasaki advises not to ride your motorcycle until the recall repairs are completed. Kawasaki will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealer to update the engine control unit software.
