  • Engine#2019670

    1,783 units affected

Issue: On certain side-by-side UTV's, the owner's manual instructs users to inspect and clean the air cleaner/breather tube regularly. If this is not done, water in the catch tank and breather tube can freeze and block the tube. This can cause increased pressure in the engine crankcase, and result in an oil leak from the engine head area, near the exhaust system. Safety Risk: An oil leak onto a hot exhaust system could cause a fire. Corrective Actions: Do not drive your side-by-side UTV until the recall repairs have been completed. Kawasaki will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to eliminate the catch tank and install an additional exhaust manifold cover.
