Issue: On certain side-by-side UTV's, the connection between the steering shaft and steering gear could wear and become loose. Over time, this could cause a loss of steering control. Safety Risk: A loss of steering control could create a risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Do not drive your side-by-side UTV until the recall repairs have been completed. Kawasaki will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the steering shaft and pinch bolts.

Issue: On certain Mule PRO-MX models, pressure in the fuel tank could cause the fuel cap gasket to move out of position when opened. If the fuel cap is put back on with the gasket out of place, it could tear and cause a fuel leak. Safety Risk: A fuel leak, in the presence of an ignition source, could increase the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer for replacement of the fuel cap gasket.

Issue: On certain Mule PRO-MX models, the engine oil cooler hoses can separate and cause an oil leak. A loss of engine oil may also cause an engine failure. Safety Risk: On oil leak could increase the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer for replacement of the oil cooler hoses.
