Issue: On certain motorhomes, the spline teeth in the windshield wiper arm(s) could wear and break. If this happens, the windshield wipers may not work properly. Safety Risk: Windshield wipers that don't work could affect a driver's visibility and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Jayco will notify the owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) authorized service facility to inspect, and if necessary, replace the windshield wiper arm(s).

Issue: On certain motorhomes, the tire valve stem extensions for the inner wheels may get damaged by contact with the outer wheels. If this happens, the inner tire could lose air pressure. This could overload the outer tire and cause it to fail. Safety Risk: A tire failure could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Jayco will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) authorized service facility to remove the inner valve stem extensions.

Issue: On a small number of motorhomes, the tie rod arm and steering arm bolts may be defective and could break. If this happens, there could be a loss of steering control. Note: This recall only affects motorhomes built with a Detroit front axle on a Freightliner chassis. Safety Risk: A loss of steering control could create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) authorized service facility to replace the tie rod arm bolts and the steering arm bolts.

Issue: On one motorhome, the tie rod clamp may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the tie rod end could loosen and separate. If this happens, there could be a loss of steering control. Corrective Actions: Jayco will notify the owner by mail and instruct them to take their motorhome to a Daimler Trucks North America authorized service facility to replace the tie rod clamp nuts and bolts.

Issue: On certain motorhomes, the bracket that holds the pump and reservoir for the hydraulic levelling system could fail. If this happens, the pump and reservoir could come in contact with the ground. This could cause a hydraulic fluid leak and cause the parts to separate from the motorhome. Safety Risk: A hydraulic fluid leak or parts falling from the motorhome could create a road hazard and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Jayco will notify owners by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.

On certain travel trailers and motorhomes equipped with Frigidaire KG series microwaves, a defect in the microwave oven keypad could cause the oven to activate without pressing any keys. This could result in excessive heat, smoke or possibly a fire. Correction: Dealers will replace affected keypads. In the interim, consumers should not store anything in the microwave.

On certain motorhomes and fifth wheel trailers, an incorrect electrical connection at the transfer switch buss bar could cause the transfer switch to overheat and melt. This could result in a vehicle fire causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the transfer switch.

On certain motorhomes, the bolts attaching the rear trailer hitch to the frame may not have received adequate tightening torque during vehicle assembly. If the bolts loosen, the trailer hitch could separate from the vehicle. A hitch assembly or a towed unit separating from the towing vehicle could strike another vehicle, stationary object, or bystander, causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will tighten the trailer hitch fasteners to specifications.
