  Issue: On certain motorhomes, the Smart Data Link Connector (SDLC) module may have been damaged by moisture during vehicle assembly. As a result, the module, connector and wiring harness could corrode and cause the instrument cluster not to work. If this happens, warnings, tell-tales and gauges may not display properly. Safety Risk: Warnings, tell-tales and gauges that don't display could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Jayco will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a Ford dealership to replace the Smart Data Link Connector (SDLC) module and wiring harness, as necessary.

  Issue: On a small number of motorhomes, the bolts that attach the rear brake calipers may not be properly tightened. As a result, the bolts could loosen over time and a caliper could contact and damage the brake lines and/or the wheel. Damaged brake lines could leak and create reduced braking. Damage to a wheel could cause a sudden loss of tire pressure. Safety Risk: Reduced braking could cause an extended stopping distance. Additionally, a sudden loss of tire pressure could cause a loss of control. Both issues could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Jayco will notify owners by mail advise you to take your motorhome to a Ford dealership to inspect and re-tighten the rear brake caliper mounting bolts. Any damaged bolts will be replaced.

  Issue: On certain motorhomes, the nuts that attach the rear stabilizer bar bracket(s) could loosen and the attachment bolts and bracket could break. If this happens, the bolts and bracket could detach and separate from the vehicle. Safety Risk: Parts that detach from the motorhome could create a hazard for other road users and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Jayco will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a Ford dealership to inspect and replace or repair the rear stabilizer attachment bolts and brackets as necessary.

As a result, heat from the exhaust system could melt the storage compartment Safety Risk: A storage compartment that melts could create the risk of a burn injury or a fire. Corrective Actions: Jayco will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealership to extend the heat shield above the exhaust system.

  Issue: On certain motorhomes equipped with a Dometic propane gas stove, there could be an odour of propane gas after a short period of use. If a user attempts to tighten the bolt for the stove's valve in order to stop the smell, they could over-tighten the bolt and cause damage to a seal. This can result in a constant gas leak. Safety Risk: A propane gas leak could create the risk of a fire or explosion. Corrective Action: Jayco will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealer to replace the defective hardware and perform a leak test. To reduce the safety risk, Jayco recommends that you should not use the propane system or any propane appliance in the motorhome until the recall repairs have been completed.

  Issue: On certain motorhomes built on a Ford chassis, the insulation for the engine cover may be missing. As a result, some surfaces inside the motorhome could get hot while the engine is running. Safety Risk: If a person touches a hot surface, there could be a risk of a burn injury. Corrective Actions: Jayco will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealer to add insulation to the engine cover. The dealer will also add a foam seal on the outer edge of the cover.

  Issue: On certain motorhomes, the hydraulic lines for the levelling system may be routed too close to the exhaust system. This could cause them to overheat and melt. If this happens, hydraulic oil could leak onto the exhaust system. Additionally, a heat shield was not installed over the exhaust system. Safety Risk: An oil leak onto a hot exhaust system could cause a fire. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to inspect the hydraulic lines for the levelling system. The lines will be rerouted as necessary and a heat shield will be installed.

  Issue: On certain motorhomes, the dash blower motor does not have proper fuse protection. As a result, an electrical overload or short circuit could cause the wiring to overheat. Safety Risk: Wiring that overheats could create a risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealer to install a fuse for the dash blower. A 25 ampere fuse will be installed in position 23 in the power distribution box. Dealers will also install a label in the fuse box noting "Fuse Position 23 Max. 25 A".

  Certain motorhomes may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 104 – Windshield Wiping and Washing System. When travelling at higher speeds, with the wiper speed setting set to high, the wiper arms could lift away from the windshield and not be able to clean the windshield. This would reduce the driver’s visibility under certain conditions, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the original wiper arms with ones of a new design that will correctly contact and clean the windshield.

Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly. If the wiring is found under the door threshold, it will be removed and the step will be rewired with improved wiring routing.

Correction: Dealers will install a jam nut to the top of the seat base nut on each affected seat and ensure they are properly torqued.
