Issue: On a small number of RV trailers, the auto-leveling jack lockout may not be wired properly. As a result, the phone application could allow the auto-leveling jacks to extend while the trailer is being towed. Safety Risk: Leveling jacks that extend while driving could create a road hazard and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Jayco will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to correct the wiring in the trailer brake connector.

Issue: On certain RV trailers, the fabric for the patio awning may not be properly attached. As a result, the awning could detach and fall from the trailer. Safety Risk: An awning that falls from the trailer could create a risk of injury. An awning that falls from a moving vehicle could create road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Jayco will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealership to inspect the fabric roll on the awning. It will be repaired or replaced, as necessary.

This recall only affects trailers equipped with a Winntec model 6020 propane regulator. Safety Risk: Unregulated propane pressure can create the risk of an appliance fire. Corrective Action: Jayco will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealer to replace the propane (LP) regulator.

Issue: On certain travel trailers equipped with frameless windows, the glass may not be properly attached to the metal hinges. As a result, the glass could separate from the hinge and fall from the trailer. Safety Risk: A window that detaches from the trailer could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Jayco will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your travel trailer to a dealer to inspect the adhesive bonding on the window glass. Dealers will replace the glass, if necessary.

Issue: On certain RV trailers, the microwave vent hood does not vent outside the trailer. If the range is operated without a proper vent, this could allow a build-up of carbon monoxide inside the trailer. Safety Risk: A build-up of carbon monoxide could result in asphyxiation or carbon monoxide poisoning. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their trailer to a dealer to install a vent to the outside of the trailer.

This could allow the propane tank to become unsecured and come out of its compartment, which could result in a fire or explosion causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the defective steel straps.

Propane gas could continue to flow at the burner when the flame is out which could, in the presence of an ignition source, lead to an explosion, increasing the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will install two panels to the stove cabinet to eliminate the interference when the furnace is running.

On certain travel trailers, the safety chain installed during the A frame manufacturing process have a load rating of 11 700 lbs. when the correct load rating of the safety chain should be 16 200 lbs. Underrated safety chains may break under normal use, increasing the risk of trailer separation from the tow vehicle which would increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the 11 700 lbs safety chains with some 16 200 lbs safety chains.

On certain vehicles equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly. This could result in the LP lines and fittings potentially breaking free of the manifold, resulting in a propane leak. A propane leak, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace and relocate the LP manifold and LP lines.

Correction: Dealers will inspect, and if necessary, replace the defective hubs.

On certain travel trailers, the certification and tire and loading information labels do not contain correct tire dimension and load range information. The labels incorrectly indicate a tire size of ST225/75R15 with load range D while the correct tire size is ST235/80R16 with load range E. As a result, the vehicle may inadvertently be fitted with incorrect replacement tires. Overloaded tires may lead to poor vehicle handling characteristics, which could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will install updated labels.

Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the oven supply tube.

On certain fifth wheel trailers the rear stabilizing jacks may extend while driving due to exposed wiring. If the exposed wiring is subject to road spray, it may activate the remote control panel and extend the jacks. This situation could result in a loss of control leading to a vehicle crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will install a relay to prevent the activation autonomously in the presence of moisture.
