  • Seats And Restraints#2016651

    218 units affected

Certain vehicles may have been equipped with front seat belt pretensioners that do not meet specifications. This could cause the pretensioners to fail to deploy in the event of a crash, which could increase the risk of injury to the front seat occupants. Correction: Dealers will check the production date of the front seat belt assemblies (which incorporate the pretensioners) and replace as necessary.

  • Suspension#2016531

    2 units affected

On certain F-TYPE SVR specification vehicles, the rear lower control arm knuckle assembly deformable bolt may have been torqued multiple times during the time of assembly contrary to the specification. This could cause the anti-corrosion coating to come off, exposing bare metal to the environment, resulting in premature fatigue failure causing separation of the joint. A separating control arm knuckle assembly could affect vehicle handling and stability increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect and replace any over torqued deformable bolt.

The affected vehicles have front seat seatbelt pretensioners that may not function properly in the event of a crash.

Risk: If the front seat seatbelt pretensioners do not function properly, the seat occupants may not be adequately restrained in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy: Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the front seat belt assemblies, replacing them as necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin February 20, 2017. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is J081.

  • SUSPENSION:REAR#16V789000

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain model year 2017 Jaguar F-Type SVR vehicles built between February 19, 2016 and August 15, 2016. Risk: If the lower control arm bolt connecting bolt fails, the rear control arm assembly may separate from the vehicle, resulting in a loss of control and increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will replace the bolt that connects the rear lower control arm to the rear knuckle joint, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin on December 19, 2016. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is J076.
