02- Brakes#2023017
14 units affected
Issue: On certain trucks, the antilock braking system (ABS) module and, if equipped, the optional advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) camera may not have been recalibrated after a modification to extend the truck frame. As a result, some vehicle safety systems may not work properly. This can include the automatic emergency braking system (AEBS), adaptative cruise control (ACC) and electronic stability control (ESC). Note: This recall only affects trucks with a 200" or 212" wheelbase. Safety Risk: Vehicle safety systems that do not work correctly could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Isuzu will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their truck to a dealership to recalibrate the ABS module and, if equipped, the ADAS camera.
- Engine#2022324
246 units affected
Issue: On certain trucks equipped with a gasoline engine, the connector for the oil pressure sensor was wired incorrectly. As a result, the oil pressure warning light will not turn on when the engine oil pressure is low. Operating the engine with low oil pressure could cause damage or an engine failure. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Isuzu will notify owners by mail. For unsold trucks, an Isuzu dealer will repair the engine harness wiring assembly connector before it is sold. For vehicles that have been sold, the corrective actions are still under development.
