49 units affected
On certain vehicles, the plastic cover which seals the terminal of the cab feed battery cable may prevent proper electrical contact with the fuse or battery terminal post resulting in an open or unprotected circuit. An open circuit may result in sudden loss of cab power or engine shut down. Engine stalling would result in lost propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. An unprotected circuit may cause an electrical short which could result in a fire. Correction: Dealers will remove a portion of the plastic cover to allow for proper seating of the terminal on the block fuse and battery stud.
