Issue: On certain motorcycles, if you accidentally ride the motorcycle with the side stand extended, it may not retract if it contacts the ground. Canadian regulations require an extended side stand to retract when it touches the ground, and the motorcycle is moving forward. Safety Risk: A side stand that doesn't retract when it contacts the ground while riding could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Indian Motorcycle will notify owners by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.
