Transport Canada recalls

03
  • Structure#2026298

    2,322 units affected

Issue: On certain vehicles, the windscreen glass may not have the proper markings required by the Canadian regulations. Safety Risk: This small error does not affect safety. Corrective Actions: This is not a recall. The company has made changes to ensure that all new vehicles have a compliant windscreen.

  • Lights And Instruments#2024752

    759 units affected

Issue: Under certain conditions, a software problem could cause the brake light to flicker without applying the brakes. Safety Risk: A brake light that turns on when the motorcycle isn't braking could cause confusion for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Indian Motorcycle will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to update the ABS module software.

  • Engine#2020138

    61 units affected

Issue: On certain motorcycles, the engine output shaft bearing may have received inadequate lubrication during assembly. This could cause the bearing to fail at very low mileage. If this happens, the engine could lose power or seize suddenly. Safety Risk: An engine that loses power or seizes could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: If your motorcycle has travelled 80 km or less, you should stop riding it immediately. Polaris/Indian Motorcycles will send a letter to all owners and advise you what to do next if your motorcycle's mileage is below 80 km. If required, Polaris will assist you with transporting it to the nearest dealer, where the output shaft bearing will be inspected and, if needed, lubricated. If the bearing is damaged, it will be replaced.
