  Issue: On certain motorhomes, the hoses for the hydraulic leveling jack system may not be routed, secured, or protected correctly. As a result, the hoses could be damaged by heat and/or contact with the frame. If this happens, hydraulic fluid could leak. Safety Risk: A hydraulic fluid leak could increase the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: REV Group will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, repair or replace the hoses for the hydraulic leveling jack system.

  Issue: Certain motorhomes built on a Freightliner chassis could have a problem with the rear-mounted Power Distribution Module (PDM). This could cause the tail lights not to work properly. Note: This recall replaces FL-856 (Transport Canada recall 2020-337). Motorhomes that were repaired under that recall also require this repair. Safety Risk: Brake lights or turn signals that do not work could cause a following driver not to recognize that a vehicle ahead is braking or intends to turn. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: REV Group will notify owners by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.

  Issue: On certain motorhomes, the tire valve stem extensions for the inner wheels may get damaged by contact with the outer wheels. If this happens, the inner tire could lose air pressure. This could overload the outer tire and cause it to fail. Note: This recall replaces FL-861 (Transport Canada recall 2020-493). Motorhomes that were repaired under that recall also require this repair. Safety Risk: A tire failure could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: REV Group will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) authorized service facility to remove the inner valve stem extensions.

  Issue: On certain motorhomes, the fuel rail assembly could develop a leak. Note: This recall only affects motorhomes equipped with a Cummins L9 diesel engine. Safety Risk: A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Cummins will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a Cummins authorized service center to inspect the fuel rail. If damage is found, the fuel rail and fuel lines will be replaced. If no damage is found, the fuel rail will be reassembled with new crush washers using a special tool.

  Issue: On certain motorhomes, the tire valve stem extensions for the inner wheels may get damaged by contact with the outer wheels. If this happens, the inner tire could lose air pressure. This could overload the outer tire and cause it to fail. Safety Risk: A tire failure could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. REV Group will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) authorized service facility to inspect and adjust the inner wheel valve stem stabilizers, as needed. The inner valve stems will be replaced, if required.

  Issue: Certain motorhomes built on a Freightliner chassis could have a problem with the rear-mounted Power Distribution Module (PDM). This could cause the tail lights not to work properly. Note: This is an expansion of recall 2018-615. Vehicles that had an inspection, but did not have the PDM replaced under the previous recall, require a second repair under this recall. Safety Risk: Brake lights, marker lights or turn signals that do not work properly could make the vehicle less visible. They could also cause a following driver not to recognize that a vehicle ahead is braking or intends to turn. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: REV Recreation Group will notify owners by mail and provide a letter from Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA). This letter will instruct owners to take their motorhome to a DTNA authorized service facility to replace the PDM.

This could result in the caliper bolts loosening, which could lead to the caliper detaching.   On certain motorhomes, the wiring for the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system could become disconnected. If the wiring for the HVAC system's potentiometer were to become disconnected, there is a risk that the wiring may be reconnected improperly, which could increase the risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the HVAC controller’s existing potentiometer, and either solder the wires or replace the control panel, as necessary. Note: Owners are advised that if the HVAC control panel becomes inoperable for any reason, to not use it or attempt any repairs. It must be inspected and if necessary, repaired or replaced by a certified REV Recreation Group dealer technician.

  On certain motorhomes, water may enter the 12-Volt harnesses’ pin connectors due to a missing gasket, and/or the location of the connector. If water were to enter the connector, an electrical short could result, which may result in uncommanded operation of the slide-out room while the vehicle is in transit. This could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect, and if necessary, install a gasket for each affected harness pin connectors and re-route the wiring harnesses.

  On certain vehicles equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly.   On certain motorhomes, a rubber coated braided power steering hose may have inadequate clearance to the starter power stud due to incorrect routing. This could cause the power steering hose to rub against the stud on the starter motor, which could cause an electrical arc and a power steering fluid leak. A power steering leak in the presence of an electrical arc could increase the risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property. A power steering fluid leak could also require additional steering effort which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect and reroute the power steering hose for proper clearance to the starter stud.

  On certain motorhomes equipped with Lippert Components Inc. electric entry steps, an internal bolt on the steps that attaches the fan gear assembly to the steps could fracture. This results in the fan gear disengaging from the steps, which could cause the steps to stop in an unexpected position and appear to be loose or unstable. If the steps become unstable, it could cause a person to fall, resulting in injury. Correction: Dealers will install a step retainer bracket to reinforce the operating mechanism, and all bolts of the mechanism will also be replaced.

  On certain vehicles, the Injection Pressure Regulator (IPR) electrical wire may break due to vibration damage at the crimp/wire connection. This could cause an unexpected engine shut down without warning. Loss of vehicle propulsion, in conjunction with traffic and road condition, and the driver’s reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will install a redesigned IPR wire connector.

  Kongsberg Power Products Systems I, Inc., (KPPS) is submiting this notice of defect on behalf of Monaco Coach regarding certain motorhomes equipped with an adjustable brake pedal assembly. The brake pedal arm may loosen, rotate around its shaft, and swing in front of the accelerator pedal. Should the brake pedal arm contact and engage the accelerator pedal, it could result in extended stopping distances and a vehicle crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: KPPS will provide a clamp assembly kit along with installation instructions.

  On certain vehicles equipped with an adjustable brake pedal assembly, a drive pin that is below specification may become disengaged from the brake arm, causing separation or loosening of the pedal from the remainder of the assembly. If the drive pin becomes disengaged from the brake pedal assembly it could result in a loss of vehicle braking function and/or cause the brake pedal to interfere with the throttle pedal. Either condition could result in a vehicle crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will install a secondary pin retention system.
