Issue: On certain RV trailers, the propane (LP) lines on the outdoor cooktop may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the connection could leak propane gas. Safety Risk: A propane gas leak could create the risk of a fire or explosion. Corrective Action: Heartland RV will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealer to inspect and tighten the propane (LP) connection to the outside cooktop, as necessary. The dealer will also perform a leak test. To reduce the safety risk, Heartland recommends that you should not use the outside cooktop until the recall repairs have been completed.

Risk: If both U-bolts break, the carrier and spare tire can detach from the unit, resulting in an increased risk of injury and increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Heartland will notify owners, and dealers will replace the spare tire mounting U-bolts, free of charge. The recall began July 7, 2020. Owners may contact Heartland customer service at 1-877-262-8032.
