On certain travel trailers equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly. On certain fifth wheel trailers outfitted with disc brakes, the steel wheel spare tire provided with the vehicle are incompatible with the disk-brake hubs. The wheel is contoured in a fashion which does not allow the rim to mount flat and flush to the hub face. Should a user install the subject spare tire assembly, the wheel will rub against the disc brake caliper until it comes into contact with the brake line. If the spare tire with the steel wheel is installed and wears through the brake line, it could lead to a loss of braking or control, and affect vehicle handling, both which would increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the spare rim with an aluminium compatible spare rim.

On certain travel trailers, the Norco slide room mechanisms could be defective. The drive train that controls the inward and outward motion of the room could have been manufactured with incorrectly rated screws. If the screws were to fail, the slide room could extend while the vehicle is in motion, increasing the risk of crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the defective screws with correctly rated bolts.

On certain fifth wheel and travel trailers, the HSM Quad Steps rivets that hold the steps together could loosen and fail. If the rivets were to fail, the steps could collapse which could cause a person to fall, resulting in injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and replace the rivets with shoulder bolts.

On certain travel trailers equipped with Frigidaire KG series microwaves, a defect in the microwave oven keypad could cause the oven to activate without pressing any keys. This could result in excessive heat, smoke or possibly a fire. Correction: Dealers will replace affected circuit boards. In the interim, consumers should unplug their microwave ovens, if possible. If the consumer is unable to unplug the microwave, they should leave the door ajar until the microwave is replaced.

Incorrect tire and/or rim information may lead to use of unsuitable tires and/or wheels and could affect vehicle stability, increasing the risk of a crash causing personal injury and/or property damage. On certain fifth wheels and travel trailers, the electrical motor for the awning could become damaged, allowing the awning to unfurl unexpectedly. As a result, the awning could strike another vehicle, a stationary object, or a bystander, causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the awning motor.

Certain fifth wheel trailers equipped with Dexter axles may contain cracks in the spindle weld. These cracks can propagate and cause the spindle to detach from the axle tube, resulting in the separation of the wheel end from the vehicle. This occurrence could cause a crash resulting in serious bodily injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will replace the affected axles.
