Transport Canada recalls
02- Label#2015413
312 units affected
Certain vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 110 or 120 - Tire Selection and Rims. The certification label may contain incorrect recommended tire size and tire pressure information. This could lead to tire under inflation and/or vehicle overloading, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will apply a revised label if necessary. Note: Although the information on the vehicle labels may be incorrect, tires of the correct size and rating were installed on the affected trailers.
- Structure#2015046
8 units affected
On certain fifth wheel trailers, the axles may have been installed too far forward, which could affect weight distribution. Incorrectly distributed trailer weight could adversely affect vehicle stability and potentially cause an uncontrolled swaying motion, which could result in a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Heartland will either relocate the axles rearward, or install a ballast to the pin box and upgrade the axles to offset the increased ballast, depending on the model involved. Each trailer will also be weighed and tire, axle and cargo capacity labels bearing updated information will be applied.
