Issue: On certain motorcycles, the rear brake line could become damaged by contact with the body control module (BCM). Over time, this could lead to a brake fluid leak and cause reduced braking. Safety Risk: Reduced braking can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Harley-Davidson will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to replace the BCM bracket. The dealer will also inspect and, if necessary, replace the rear brake line.

Issue: This recall is for rear shock absorber kits that were installed before delivery or sold as a dealer accessory. On certain motorcycles, the mounting bracket for the rear shock absorber adjuster could break. If this happens, the shock absorber adjuster could move and damage the rear tire. This could lead to a sudden loss of air pressure and a tire failure. Note: Motorcycles that were repaired under recall 0182 (Transport Canada recall no. 2023-475) also require this repair. This recall affects the following parts: • profile low rear suspension, part number 54000134 • tall rear shock, part number 54000294 Safety Risk: A tire failure could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Harley-Davidson will notify registered owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to replace the rear shock mounting bracket. If you have purchased one of these accessory parts, you can contact Harley-Davidson or a local dealer to determine if your shock absorber kit is affected by this recall.

Issue: On certain motorcycles, the compliance label lists the incorrect tire pressure for the front tire. The label incorrectly lists the recommended tire pressure as 207 kPa (30 psi). The label should instead list the tire pressure as 248 kPa (36 psi) for the Street Bob model, and 221 kPa (32 psi) for the Low Rider model. This information could lead you to underinflate the tires and cause poor handling and/or a tire failure. Safety Risk: Poor handling or a tire failure could cause a loss of control and result in a crash. Corrective Actions: Harley-Davidson will mail a new compliance label and an owner's manual insert to each owner. If you would like help to install the label, you can contact a Harley-Davidson dealer to have it installed free of change.

Issue: The compliance label on certain motorcycles may be missing information. The gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) and gross axle weight rating (GAWR) values may not be listed. The proper tire pressure and rim size may also be missing. Without this information, a user may overload the motorcycle or its tires. This could cause poor handling. A tire that is underinflated or overloaded could fail. Safety Risk: Poor handling or a tire failure could cause a loss of control and result in a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer to have the compliance label inspected and replaced as required.
