On certain motorcycles, the ignition switch may become damaged internally due to engine induced vibration. This could cause an unintended change in ignition switch position while driving, resulting in loss of engine power which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the defective switch with an updated version.

On certain motorcycles, vibration could cause the ignition key to rotate from the "IGN" position to the "ACC" position while the motorcycle is being ridden. This would cause the engine to stall, causing a loss of motive power and increasing the risk of a crash. Correction: Dealers will replace the engine mount bracket assembly and ignition switch knob on affected vehicles.
