    Issue: On certain RV trailers, the U-bolts that attach the axles to the suspension may not have been properly tightened. As a result, an axle could slide back on the leaf spring. This could cause poor handling and lead to a loss of control. Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall nos. 2023-395 and 2024-164. RV trailers that were repaired under those recalls also require this repair. Safety Risk: A loss of control could create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Grand Design RV will notify owners by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.

    Issue: On certain RV trailers, the fasteners securing the cooling unit to the refrigerator may be loose or missing. As a result, the cooling unit could move and cause the propane line to crack and leak. Note: This recall is an expansion of Transport Canada recall no. 2024-302. Safety Risk: A propane gas leak can create the risk of a fire or an explosion. Corrective Actions: Grand Design RV will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to inspect and, as necessary, repair or replace the refrigerator and propane line.

    Issue: On certain RV trailers, the quick disconnect fittings for the propane (LP) gas system may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the fittings could crack and leak propane. Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2022-246. Trailers that were repaired under that recall also require this repair. Safety Risk: A propane gas leak could create the risk of a fire or explosion. Corrective Actions: Grand Design will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the quick disconnect fittings on the propane system. The dealer will also perform a leak test.

Safety Risk: An awning that falls from the trailer could create a risk of injury. An awning that falls from a moving vehicle could create road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Grand Design RV will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealership to inspect the fabric roll on the awning. It will be repaired or replaced, as necessary.

    This recall was replaced by Transport Canada recall no. 2024-698. Issue: On certain RV trailers, the quick disconnect fittings for the propane (LP) gas system may be defective. As a result, the fittings could crack and leak propane. Safety Risk: A propane gas leak could create the risk of a fire or explosion. Corrective Actions: Grand Design will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to inspect the quick disconnect fittings on the propane system. The quick disconnect fitting(s) will be replaced, if required. The dealer will also perform a leak test.
