Transport Canada recalls

01
  • Label#2023121

    21 units affected

Issue: The compliance label and the tire and loading information label on certain RV trailers list incorrect tire information. The labels incorrectly list the tires as ST225/75R15 LRE, with a recommended tire pressure of 552 kPa (80 psi). The labels should instead list the tire size as ST235/75R15 LRD, and the recommended tire pressure as 448 kPa (65 psi). This information could lead you to overinflate the tires. Note: This recall only affects trailers with the optional off-road package. Safety Risk: Tires that are overinflated could cause poor towing/driving performance or a tire failure. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Grand Design RV will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealership to install a corrected compliance label, and tire and loading information label. You can contact Grand Design RV directly if you would prefer to have them send you the labels, and apply them yourself.
