    Issue: On certain trucks, the spline teeth in the windshield wiper arm(s) could wear and break. If this happens, the windshield wipers may not work properly. Note: This is an expansion of recall FL-926 (Transport Canada Recall 2022-172). Safety Risk: Windshield wipers that don't work could affect a driver's visibility and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) will notify the owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a DTNA authorized service facility to inspect, and if necessary, replace the windshield wiper arm(s).

  • Steering#2023083

    Issue: On certain trucks, the joint connecting the steering arm to the drag link may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the joint could loosen and separate, causing a loss of steering control. Safety Risk: A loss of steering control could create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a DTNA authorized service facility to inspect the castle nut on the drag link taper joint. The nut will be checked for the correct torque, and tightened or repaired, as necessary.

    Issue: Certain trucks were built with tires that are not approved for use with the truck's wheels. As a result, the tires may not perform properly, or a tire could fail. Safety Risk: A tire failure could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a DTNA authorized service facility to replace the affected tires.

The corrective actions for this recall are under development. You will be instructed to bring your truck to a DTNA authorized service facility when a repair is available.

    Issue: On certain vehicles, the fuel rail assembly could develop a leak. Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a Cummins L9 or ISX12 diesel engine. Safety Risk: A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Cummins will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a Cummins authorized service center to inspect the fuel rail. If damage is found, the fuel rail and fuel lines will be replaced. If no damage is found, the fuel rail will be reassembled with new crush washers using a special tool.

    Issue: On certain trucks, the engine wire harness could be damaged by contact with various locations around the air compressor and the frame rail. If this happens, the engine could stall and you may not be able to restart it. Note: This recall only affects trucks built with a Detroit DD8 engine. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a DTNA authorized service facility to inspect the clearance between the wire harness and engine, and to check for any damage to the wiring. If the wire harness is damaged, it will be replaced with a new harness that has a severe duty wrap and additional hardware for routing.

    Issue: On certain trucks equipped with "Fleet Engineer" mud flaps, the bracket for the mud flaps may partially cover the rear reflective tape. Canadian regulations require that reflective tape must be visible on the rear of the truck. Safety Risk: Reflective tape that is covered may make the truck less visible to others and could create an increased risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Daimler Trucks of North America (DTNA) will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to an authorized DTNA Service Facility to inspect the reflective tape. It will be moved as necessary to meet the regulations.

  • Brakes#2020086

    Issue: On certain trucks equipped with air disc brakes, the brake caliper mounting bolts may not be properly tightened. This could cause the caliper bolts to loosen and result in reduced brake effectiveness. Safety Risk: Reduced brake effectiveness could cause an increase in stopping distance and create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their truck to an authorized Daimler Trucks of North America Service Facility to inspect and replace the brake caliper bolts as necessary.

  • SUSPENSION:CRITICAL FASTENERS#25V760000

    Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2020-2026 Western Star 49X, Freightliner Business Class M2, Freightliner 114SD, Freightliner 108SD, 2021-2026 Western Star 47X, 2021-2023 Freightliner 122SD, 2022 Western Star 48X, and 2023 Western Star 4700 vehicles. The axle clamp fasteners may be loose, which can result in a loss of vehicle control.

    Risk: A loss of vehicle control increases the risk of a crash.

    Remedy: Dealers will inspect and tighten the fasteners, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 29, 2025. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA's number for this recall is F1027.

  • ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU/ECM):SOFTWARE#24V924000

    Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2015-2020 Freightliner Business Class M2 emergency vehicles equipped with certain Cummins diesel engines. The engine protection and inducement software may cause the engine to shut down unexpectedly.

    Risk: An unexpected engine shutdown can delay emergency responders and increase the risk of injury.

    Remedy: Cummins will update the electronic control module software and install a corrected data plate, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 5, 2025. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA's number for this recall is F1012.

  • WHEELS:RIM#22V919000

    Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2020-2023 Freightliner 114SD, 2023 Freightliner 122SD, 2020 Western Star 4700, 2019-2022 Western Star 4900, 2019-2023 Freightliner Business Class M2, and 2021 Freightliner Cascadia vehicles. The vehicles are equipped with tires that are not compatible with their 8.25-inch rims. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 120, "Wheels and Rims-Other Than Passenger Cars."

    Risk: Driving with tires that are not compatible with their rims can reduce tire performance, increasing the risk of a crash.

    Remedy: Dealers will replace the tires, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 2, 2023. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA's number for this recall is FL-962.

  • SERVICE BRAKES, AIR:ANTILOCK:MODULATOR#22V817000

    Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2017-2023 Freightliner Cascadia, 2020-2022 Freightliner Business Class M2, and 2022 Freightliner 114SD, and 2020-2023 Western Star 49X, 2021-2023 Western Star 47X, and 2021-2022 Western Star 57X vehicles. The brake modulator valves on the front axle may corrode and cause the vehicle to pull to the affected side during an Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) braking event.

    Risk: Brakes that pull to one side during an ACC braking event may cause a sudden change in vehicle direction, increasing the risk of a crash.

    Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the front brake modulator valves, as necessary. Some vehicles will have a software update which will alert driver when a replacement is required. All repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning October 16, 2023. DTNA's number for this recall is FL-958. This recall expands and replaces previous recall 20V-390. All vehicles previously repaired under recall 20V-390 will need to have the new remedy performed.

  • SERVICE BRAKES, AIR:DRUM#22V118000

    Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2020-2022 Freightliner M2 vehicles. The brake drum may contact the hub assembly, causing the brake drum to crack.

    Risk: A cracked brake drum can cause a loss of brake function and increase the risk of a crash.

    Remedy: All vehicles have been remedied, therefore no owner notification letters are necessary. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA's number for this recall is FL-920.

  • FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL:FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM:FUEL RAIL#21V326000

    Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2018-2021 Freightliner Custom Chass XC Chassis, 108SD, Custom Chass XB Chassis, Business Class M2, 114SD, and Western Star 4700 vehicles. The sealing washer may not seat correctly in the pilot bore holes, allowing the high pressure fuel rail assembly to leak.

    Risk: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

    Remedy: Dealers will replace the fuel rail and fuel lines, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters were mailed on June 21, 2021. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA's number for this recall is FL-886.

  • ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING#20V527000

    Daimler Trucks North America LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2018-2021 Freightliner 114SD, 108SD, and Business Class M2 vehicles. The engine harness wires may chafe at various locations around the air compressor and the frame rail. The damaged wires may short causing the engine to stall without any prior warning.

    Risk: An engine stall can increase the risk of a crash.

    Remedy: DTNA will notify owners, and dealers will inspect for adequate harness clearance and verify that the harness has not been damaged. Vehicles with a damaged harness will receive a new harness that consists of a severe duty wrapping and additional hardware. All repairs will be performed free of charge. The recall began October 28, 2020. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA's number for this recall is FL-860.

  • ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING#20V466000

    Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2017-2021 Freightliner Business Class M2 trucks. The engine harness may contact and chafe at various locations around the air compressor and the frame rail. If the wires are damaged, they may short circuit, possibly causing an engine stall.

    Risk: A engine stall may increase the risk of a crash.

    Remedy: DTNA will notify owners, and dealers will inspect for adequate clearance between harness and engine, and for any engine harness damage. Vehicles with a damaged harness will receive a new harness. These repairs will be performed free of charge. The recall began October 5, 2020.   • EXTERIOR LIGHTING#20V214000

    Daimler Trucks North America LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2006-2020 Freightliner Columbia, 2006-2021 Freightliner Business Class M2, 2007-2020 Freightliner Coronado, 2014-2021 Freightliner 122 SD, 2007 Sterling A 9500, 2006 Freightliner Argosy, 2006-2007 Sterling AT9500, 2008-2021 Freightliner Cascadia, 2006-2008 Freightliner Classic, 2006-2011 Freightliner Century Class, 2006-2010 Freightliner FLD, and 2017 Western Star 5700 vehicles. The rear reflective tape may be partially covered by the mudflap hanger bracket, which may reduce the vehicle's visibility to other drivers on the road. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

    Risk: The vehicle's rearward visibility may be reduced, increasing the risk of a crash.

    Remedy: DTNA will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and reposition the reflective tape to ensure that it is completely visible, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began May 29, 2020. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA's number for this recall is FL848.

  • POWER TRAIN:AXLE ASSEMBLY#20V176000

    Daimler Trucks North America LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2019-2020 Freightliner Business Class M2 and Freightliner 108SD vehicles equipped with Meritor MX 120 EVO Front Drive Steer axles. The axles may have insufficient lubrication, which may result in damage to the wheel end bearings.

    Risk: If the bearings are damaged, the wheel may separate and cause a sudden loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of crash.

    Remedy: DTNA will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the wheel end components, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began May 12, 2020. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA's number for this recall is FL-846.

  • SERVICE BRAKES, AIR:DISC:CALIPER#20V127000

    Daimler Trucks North America LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2019-2020 Freightliner 108SD, 114SD, Cascadia, Business Class M2, Western Star 4700 and 5700, Freightliner Custom Chassis S2, Custom Chassis XB, and Custom Chassis XC vehicles equipped with air disc brakes. The brake caliper mounting bolts may have been insufficiently tightened.

    Risk: Loose brake caliper mounting bolts can reduce brake effectiveness, increasing the risk of a crash.

  • POWER TRAIN:AXLE ASSEMBLY#19V443000

    Daimler Trucks North America LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2019-2020 Business Class M2 and 2020 108SD vehicles equipped with Meritor MX 120 EVO Front Drive Steer axles. The axles may have insufficient lubrication, which may result in damage to the wheel end bearings.
