On certain vehicles equipped with air disc brakes, the brake caliper mounting bolts may be incorrectly torqued. This could result in the caliper bolts loosening, which could lead to the caliper detaching. Insufficiently torqued fasteners may not provide adequate clamping force between the brake caliper and brake anchor plate potentially resulting in reduced brake effectiveness, which would result in increased stopping distances, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Daimler Trucks of North America Service Facilities will inspect the bolts, and repair as necessary.

On certain vehicles built on a Freightliner XBS chassis, the rear-mounted Power Distribution Module (PDM) may have a manufacturing defect that could cause intermittent functioning of the rear marker, brake lights or left turn signal. Without brake lights, a following motorist may not to recognize that a vehicle ahead is braking, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Daimler Trucks North American (DTNA) will inspect and repair the PDM as necessary.
