Issue: On a small number of RV trailers, the compliance label lists the wrong gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR). This could lead to overloading of the trailer and cause poor handling or a tire failure. Safety Risk: Poor handling or a tire failure could cause a loss of vehicle control and result in a crash. Corrective Actions: Forest River will mail a new compliance label to each owner. If you would like help to install the label, you can contact a Forest River dealership to have it installed free of charge.

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2027 Salem and Wildwood travel trailers. The exterior griddle may be stowed while still connected to the LP gas line.
Risk: A griddle stowed while the gas is still in use can increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy: The remedy is currently under development. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 19, 2026. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-534-3167. Forest River's number for this recall is 06-2095.

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2026-2027 Wildwood and Salem travel trailers. The Federal Placard may have the incorrect Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 120, "Wheels and Rims - Other than Passenger Cars."
Risk: Referencing the incorrect GVWR may lead to unintentionally overloading the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will install a new corrected label, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 22, 2026. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-534-3167. Forest River's number for this recall 04-2075.
