Issue: On certain RV trailers, the compliance label may list the wrong fresh water holding tank capacity. This could lead to overloading of the trailer and cause poor handling or a tire failure. Safety Risk: Poor handling or a tire failure could cause a loss of control and result in a crash. Corrective Actions: Forest River will mail a new compliance label to each owner. If you'd like help to install the label, you can contact a Forest River dealership to have it installed free of charge.

Issue: On certain RV trailers, the receiver for the removable step on the side of the trailer may not have been attached properly. As a result, the receiver could detach from the bracket and cause a person to fall. Safety risk: A step that detaches could create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to inspect and, as necessary, reattach the receiver for the removable step.

As a result, you may not be able to escape from the trailer in an emergency if the entry door is blocked. Safety Risk: An emergency exit installed in the wrong location could increase the risk of injury in an emergency. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your trailer to a dealership to install an emergency exit window.

Safety Risk: An awning that falls from the vehicle could create a risk of injury. An awning that falls from a moving vehicle could create road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the fabric roll on the awning. It will be repaired or replaced, as necessary.

Issue: On certain RV trailers and motorhomes, the quick disconnect fittings for the propane (LP) gas system may be defective. As a result, the fittings could crack and leak propane. Safety Risk: A propane gas leak could create the risk of a fire or explosion. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your RV trailer or motorhome to a dealership to replace the quick disconnect fittings on the propane system and perform a leak test.

As a result, the connections could loosen and cause a short circuit or electrical arcing (sparks). Safety Risk: A short circuit or electrical arcing could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealer to replace the shore power inlet.

This could result in a short circuit and/or failure of the trailer brakes, trailer lighting and other features. Safety Risk: A short circuit could create the risk of a fire. A loss of trailer brakes and/or lighting could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to relocate the 7-way junction box to allow for more clearance when the pin box is pivoting.

On certain fifth wheels, travel trailers and motorhomes, the electrical motor for the awning could become damaged, allowing the awning to unfurl unexpectedly. As a result, the awning could strike another vehicle, a stationary object, or a bystander, causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the awning motor.
