Issue: On certain RV trailers, the brake lines may be too short and could become damaged. As a result, the brake lines could fail and cause reduced braking. Safety Risk: Reduced braking can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the brake lines.

U.S. NHTSA recalls

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2023-2026 Forest River Work and Play, 2024-2026 East to West Takoda, Coachmen Chaparral, 2025-2026 Shasta Phoenix, 2023-2025 Forest River Riverstone, 2022-2026 Coachmen Adrenaline, and 2025 Forest River Cedar Creek fifth wheel travel trailers. The ramp door may break away from the door frame while loading or unloading vehicles.
Risk: A ramp door that breaks during use increases the risk of injury.
Remedy: Dealers will install additional support brackets, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 18, 2026. Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2018-2026 Riverstone fifth wheel trailers. The steel hydraulic brake lines may fail and leak brake fluid.
Risk: A brake fluid leak can cause a loss of brake function, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the brake lines, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 19, 2025. Owners may contact Forest River Customer Service at 260-593-2425. Forest River's number for this recall is 70-1957.
