    Issue: On certain RV trailers, the brake lines may be too short and could become damaged. As a result, the brake lines could fail and cause reduced braking. Safety Risk: Reduced braking can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the brake lines.

    Issue: On certain travel trailers, the power distribution panel wiring may not be connected correctly. As a result, the power cord may be back-fed with electricity when the generator is running. Note: This problem only affects trailers equipped with the generator prep option. Safety Risk: A power cord that is back-fed with electricity could create a risk of electrocution or a fire. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your travel trailer to a dealer to correct the wiring to the power transfer switch. Forest River recommends that you should not use your generator until the recall repairs are completed.

  • SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FOUNDATION COMPONENTS:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS#25V550000

    Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2018-2026 Riverstone fifth wheel trailers. The steel hydraulic brake lines may fail and leak brake fluid.

    Risk: A brake fluid leak can cause a loss of brake function, increasing the risk of a crash.

    Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the brake lines, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 19, 2025. Owners may contact Forest River Customer Service at 260-593-2425. Forest River's number for this recall is 70-1957.

  • ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING#20V400000

    Forest River Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2021 Riverstone trailers, models RSF37MRE, RSF381FB, RSF383MB, SF383MB-W, RSF39FK, RSF38FKTH, RSF39FKTH-W, RSF39FK-W, RSF39RBFL, RSF39KFB and RSF39RKFB-W, equipped with an optional generator prep package. Incorrect transfer switch wiring may allow a voltage back feed to the power cord when plugged into shore power.

    Risk: A back feed to the power cord may increase the risk of property damage and/or personal injury.

    Remedy: Forest River will notify owners, dealers will correct the wiring to the generator, free of charge. The recall began July 28, 2020. Owners may contact Forest River Customer Service at 1-260-593-2425. Forest River's number for this recall is 70-1194.
