Issue: On certain RV trailers, the 110 V circuits in the distribution panel may not have been labeled correctly. Safety Risk: A mislabeled circuit can create the risk of shock or electrocution. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to replace the distribution panel label.

Issue: On certain RV trailers, the propane tank tray may not have been attached properly. As a result, the tray could become loose, and the propane tank(s) could detach from the trailer while being towed. Safety Risk: A propane tank that detaches could create the risk of a fire or explosion. Additionally, a propane tank that detaches from the trailer could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Forest River recommends that you should remove the propane tank(s) from your trailer before towing. Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your trailer to a dealership to secure the propane tank tray.

Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify the owner by mail and instruct them to take their trailer to a dealership to relocate the propane hose and connection.

As a result, the suspension could detach and separate from the trailer and cause a loss of control. Safety Risk: A loss of control could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, tighten or replace the bolts on the independent suspension.

Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the fabric roll on the awning. It will be repaired or replaced, as necessary.

Safety Risk: A spare tire carrier that falls from the trailer could become a hazard for other road users and bystanders. This could create a risk of injury and/or a crash. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your travel trailer to a dealer to replace the defective U-bolts. Forest River advises that you should remove the spare tire until the recall repairs have been completed.

Safety Risk: Wiring that melts or overheats could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their trailer to an authorized dealer to re-wire the refrigerator spark igniter circuit.

On certain travel trailers and fifth wheels, the wheel hubs may have been manufactured with defective wheel studs, which could cause a complete separation of the wheel(s) from the travel trailer and a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect, and if necessary, replace the defective hubs.

Certain travel trailers fail to comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 - Lighting System and Retroreflective Devices. Specifically, these trailers were not equipped with the required clearance lights (that can be seen from the front and rear) indicating the design width of the unit, as well as the marker lights (that can only be seen from the rear) indicating the vehicle height. This could render the vehicle less visible to other motorist during hours of darkness, possibly resulting in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will install clearance lights on the fenders, and a spoiler on the rear to house the marker lights.
