Issue: On certain RV trailers, the 12 V wiring for the distribution panel may not have been installed properly. As a result, the wiring may not have proper circuit protection. If this happens, the wiring could overheat and melt before the circuit breaker trips. Safety Risk: Wiring that overheats and melts could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Forest River advises you not to plug in the RV trailer until the recall repairs have been completed. Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to correct the wiring.

Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your trailer to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, correct the wiring for the solar panel.

Safety Risk: An inverted burner flame could create the risk of a burn injury or cause a fire. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your trailer to a dealership to seal any gaps in the cabinet between the cooktop and the furnace. To reduce the safety risk, Forest River recommends that the furnace and cooktop should not be used at the same time before the recall repairs have been completed.

Issue: Certain travel trailers were built with tires that have the wrong load rating. The tires installed were ST225/75R15 LRD instead of ST225/75R15 LRE. This could lead to overloading of the tires that could result in a tire failure. Safety Risk: A tire failure could cause a loss of control and create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your travel trailer to a dealer to replace the tire and wheel assemblies.

On certain motorhomes equipped with Lippert Components Inc. electric entry steps, an internal bolt on the steps that attaches the fan gear assembly to the steps could fracture. This results in the fan gear disengaging from the steps, which could cause the steps to stop in an unexpected position and appear to be loose or unstable. If the steps become unstable, it could cause a person to fall, resulting in injury. Correction: Dealers will install a step retainer bracket to reinforce the operating mechanism, and all bolts of the mechanism will also be replaced.
