    Issue: On certain vehicles, the front lower ball joint(s) may not have been installed correctly on the steering knuckle(s). As a result, the front lower ball joint(s) could separate and cause a loss of steering control. Safety Risk: A loss of steering control could create a risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk Ford advises you not to drive your vehicle until the recall repairs are completed. Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to contact a dealer to arrange for an inspection. The dealer will repair the front steering knuckle(s), as necessary.

    Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem with the integrated trailer module (ITRM) may cause the trailer lights not to work when towing. This problem could also cause the trailer brakes not to work on certain vehicles. Note: This problem would cause a "Trailer brake module fault" message to be displayed and turn signal telltale to flash rapidly. This recall also affects certain Super Duty incomplete vehicles. Safety Risk: Trailer lights that don't work could make the vehicle less visible and cause following drivers not to recognize that the vehicle is braking or intends to turn or change lanes. These issues could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a loss of trailer brakes could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and send a wireless over-the-air software update to eligible vehicles to update the ITRM software. Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the update performed at a Ford dealership.

    Issue: On certain vehicles, the engine block heater could leak coolant. If this happens, the block heater could short circuit when it's plugged in. Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2025-554. Vehicles that were repaired under that recall don't require this repair. Safety Risk: A short circuit can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Ford advises you not to use the engine block heater until the recall repairs have been completed. Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the block heater. Alternatively, owners can choose to have the dealership permanently disable the engine block heater.

    This recall was replaced by Transport Canada recall no. 2026-005. Issue: On certain vehicles, the engine block heater could leak coolant. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the SYNC software.

As a result, a second repair is required. On certain hybrid vehicles, a software update completed by a Ford dealer could cause the transmission to shift into neutral (N) unexpectedly. If this happens, there could be a sudden loss of power to the wheels. Safety Risk: A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the hybrid powertrain control module software.

This could lead to poor handling and/or a tire failure. Note: This recall only affects certain trucks with the XLT trim level, FX4 package, and 4k trailer tow package. Safety Risk: Poor handling or a tire failure could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will mail a new tire and loading information label to each owner.     Issue: On certain trucks, the turn signal telltale may flash at the same speed when a turn signal bulb fails. As a result, you may not notice when a turn signal bulb is not working. Canadian regulations require a change in the turn signal flash rate when a bulb fails. Safety Risk: A turn signal telltale that doesn't work properly could cause you to be unaware when a turn signal bulb fails. Additionally, turn signals that do not work may cause a person not to recognize when a driver intends to turn or change lanes. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the body control module (BCM).
