648 units affected
Issue: On certain trucks, there may be a defect in the cap for the secondary fuel filter located in the engine compartment. Over time, a pinhole could develop and cause fuel to leak from the top of the fuel filter. Note: This recall only affects trucks with a 6.7 L diesel engine. Safety Risk: A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to replace the primary and secondary fuel filters.
- Wheels#2021363
1,779 units affected
Issue: On certain trucks, the front wheel hub extenders may not be properly tightened. As a result, the nuts could loosen and a wheel could separate from the vehicle. Note: For F-350 models, this recall only affects trucks equipped with dual rear wheels and four-wheel drive. Safety Risk: A wheel separation could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. A wheel that separates could also hit another person or vehicle. Corrective Actions: Ford will contact owners and instruct you not to drive your truck. They will provide you with instructions for how to check if the front wheel hub extender nuts are properly tightened. Ford will also give you the option to contact a dealer and arrange to either have the vehicle inspected at your location or have it towed to the dealership. The dealer will ensure that the wheel hub extender nuts are properly tightened.
