Note: This recall only affects certain incomplete vehicles. Safety Risk: A backup alarm that doesn't work correctly could create confusion and increase the risk of injury for other road users. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the exterior sounder connector on the frame wiring harness.

  Issue: On certain vehicles, the recall repairs completed by a Ford dealer during recall 20S73 (Transport Canada recall no. 2020-633) may not have been done correctly. As a result, a second repair is required. On certain vehicles, the insulation for the engine cover may not be positioned correctly. As a result, some surfaces inside the vehicle could get hot while the engine is running. Safety Risk: If a person touches a hot surface, there could be a risk of a burn injury. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the powertrain software on vehicles equipped with stationary elevated idle control (SEIC) or battery charge protect (BCP).

As a result, power steering fluid could leak and cause a loss of power steering and power brake assist. This recall only affects certain E-series incomplete vehicles equipped with dual rear wheels. Safety Risk: A loss of power brakes can cause a potential sudden increase in brake pedal force and lead to an increase in stopping distance. A loss of power steering assist can cause a sudden increase in steering effort, especially at low speeds. Both could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the power steering pressure line and the brake booster line.

Safety Risk: A parked vehicle that rolls away could create the risk of an injury or a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect the transmission. If metal fragments are found, the transmission will be replaced. If no metal is found, the valve body and extension housing will be replaced.

Safety Risk: If a person touches a hot surface, there could be a risk of a burn injury. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the engine cover for gaps between the rubber seal and the insulation. If gaps are found, the dealer will install engine cover insulation patches, as necessary. The dealer will also update the powertrain software on vehicles equipped with Stationary Elevated Idle Control (SEIC) or Battery Charge Protect (BCP).

  Issue: On certain vehicles, a wire harness in the rear of the vehicle could be damaged by contact with the vehicle frame. If this happens, the engine could stall and you may not be able to restart it. This can also cause the antilock brake system (ABS) not to work properly and the roll stability control (RSC) to turn off. Note: This problem may cause the check engine light and/or ABS and traction control warning lights to turn on. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could create the risk of a crash. Additionally, a loss of ABS and/or RSC could also increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a Ford or Lincoln dealer to inspect the wire harness for damage. The dealer will apply protective tape over the area and ensure the harness is not touching nearby parts. Any damaged wires will be replaced.

Correction: Dealers will inspect the bolts, and will remove and replace as necessary. Note: Only E-350 Extended Wagon models with 11-, 12- or 15-passenger seating configurations are involved in this recall.

This would result in ride vibration or irregular wear, and could lead to a loss of tread or rapid loss of air pressure. Tire failure could cause the driver to lose vehicle control, which may result in a crash. Also, during tire failure, rapid deterioration can produce debris. These issues could result in property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Retailers will replace affected tires.

  On certain vehicles, the windshield may have been incorrectly manufactured and could contain air particles trapped between the glass layers. As a result, the windshield may develop air bubbles when exposed to high temperatures, such as when the vehicle is parked in the sun with the windows closed, in ambient temperatures greater than 26ºC. Air bubbles will develop gradually over time. If the windshield is not replaced when the bubbles first appear, they may interfere with the ability of the driver to see the road and its users, which could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Should air bubbles develop in the windshield, Ford will replace the windshield free of charge up to 12 months or 20,000 km from first vehicle registration

  Certain vehicles may have been equipped with a driver power seat track assembly that was inadvertently manufactured with an incorrect worm gear. As a result, the driver seat may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 207 - Anchorage of Seats. During unusually high seat and seatbelt loading, such as during a crash, a seat track worm gear may disassemble, which could result in seat assembly movement, possibly causing personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the seat track assembly.
