01- Wheels#2018414
1 units affected
MACPEK is recalling certain FleetSpec brand plastic wheel spacers, commonly called wheel guards, which are installed between the wheel and the wheel hub or brake drum on heavy trucks or trailers. These wheel guards may melt due to the high heat generated by the brakes. If this occurs, a wheel could become loose and fall off the vehicle, creating a potential road hazard and increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Owners are advised to remove or replace these FleetSpec wheel spacers. Note: This problem only affects FleetSpec part number ACC5903 produced between 2017/08/16 to 2017/10/16.
