Issue: On certain motorhomes, the driver and/or passenger-side seat base(s) may not have been properly welded. As a result, the seat(s) could move or detach in a crash. Safety Risk: A seat that moves or detaches could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Action: Jayco will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the driver and/or passenger-side seat base(s).

Issue: On certain motorhomes, a software problem in the vehicle control module could cause a sudden loss of power. If this happens, the engine, head lamps and/or windshield wipers could suddenly shut off. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a loss of headlights and/or windshield wipers could reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Jayco will notify owners by mail and instruct you to bring your motorhome to a Spartan service center to reprogram the vehicle control module software.

Issue: On certain motorhomes, the engine air intake box may be missing a drain. As a result, water can build up inside the air intake box and enter the engine. If this happens, the engine could fail suddenly. Safety Risk: A sudden engine failure could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, add a drain to the engine air intake box.

Issue: On certain motorhomes, the bolts that attach the rear axle to the suspension may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the bolts could loosen and allow the rear axle to shift. Safety Risk: A rear axle that is not properly attached could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Jayco will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to an authorized Shyft Group Inc. repair facility to inspect and tighten the rear suspension fasteners. Any damaged fasteners will be replaced.

Issue: On a small number of motorhomes, the hoses between the fuel pump and remote fuel filter may be defective and could leak. Note: This recall only affects motorhomes equipped with a Cummins 2021 model year L9 diesel engine. Safety Risk: A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Cummins will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a Cummins authorized service center to replace the fuel hoses.
