Transport Canada recalls

02
  • Brakes#2019075

    110 units affected

Issue: Certain vehicles were built with an incorrect T-fitting in the air brake system. The fitting could fail and cause an air leak. This could cause the parking brake to suddenly apply. Note: If the parking brake applies, a warning light would appear and a buzzer would sound. Safety Risk: This could cause the vehicle to stop suddenly, which could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer for an inspection of the air brake system. If an incorrect T-fitting is found, it will be replaced.

  • Other#2019053

    4 units affected

Issue: Debris could collect under the cab area and could contact the hot exhaust system. Safety Risk: Debris that contacts the exhaust system could create a risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer for an inspection. Dealers will insulate the exhaust tubing with heat resistant wrap. Owners will be reminded of the daily cleaning procedures.
