  • Wheels#2018206

    1 units affected

On certain vehicles, a manufacturing problem could lead to the development of a fatigue crack in the front spindles. This could cause a spindle failure and result in the possible separation of a wheel from the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the defective front spindles.

  • Suspension#2016578

    3 units affected

On certain vehicles equipped with jacklegs and FIREMAAX suspension air bags, the air bags could lose pressure and fail over time. Suspension air bag failure could affect vehicle stability which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will install a pressure protection valve on the exhaust port of the height control valve.

  • Brakes#2013143

    2 units affected

On certain fire trucks, the park brake actuators may develop an air leak, which could cause partial parking brake application. Parking brake drag could result in a fire causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the park brake actuators.

  • Other#2011435

    19 units affected

On certain fire trucks, specific operating conditions (such as tight, successive, highly banked curves in opposite directions), could trigger unintended Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system intervention. As a result, the ESC may unnecessarily apply one of the front brakes in order to correct the perceived oversteer condition. This may cause the vehicle to deviate from the intended path, thereby increasing the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the ESC module.

  • Accessories#2011336

    5 units affected

On certain fire trucks, the door latch fasteners may not have received adequate tightening torque during the manufacturing process. As a result, the outer door handle may rotate out of position, allowing a retention spring to dislocate, which could cause the door to open during a vehicle crash. Should this occur, unbelted occupants could fall out of the vehicle and sustain personal injury. Correction: E-One service centers will replace the door latch assemblies.
