• Accessories#2017627

    144,034 units affected

On certain vehicles equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly. Note: For more information about recalled fire extinguishers, please visit www.kidde.com.

    4 units affected

On certain toy hauler trailers, a frame support (on either side of the vehicle) may rub against the tires when the vehicle is loaded or driven over bumps. Tire failure could cause the driver to lose vehicle control, which may result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will remove the interfering frame supports and install updated supports which allows proper clearance to the tires.

  • Wheels#2012009

    53 units affected

On certain toy hauler trailers equipped with 16 inch aluminium wheels, the decorative center cap does not provide adequate clearance to allow the wheel to fully seat on the hub face. This could allow a wheel to loosen and detach while the vehicle is underway. A wheel separating from the vehicle could cause a loss of control and a crash. In addition, the errant wheel assembly could strike a vehicle, stationary object, or a bystander. These issues could result in property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the center cap on each wheel.

  • Other#2011301

    44 units affected

On certain Rubicon toy hauler trailers, the furnace exhaust vent may not have been installed during vehicle assembly. If the furnace is operated without exhaust ventilation, carbon monoxide will vent inside the trailer, which could result in asphyxiation or carbon monoxide poisoning. The heat build-up from the exhaust can also result in a fire causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect to ensure the furnace exhaust vent is present and correctly installed. If the vent was omitted, it will be added.
