Issue: On certain motorcycles, the side stand may not have been manufactured correctly. As a result, a weld could fail and cause the motorcycle to fall over. Safety Risk: A motorcycle that falls over could create a risk of injury to nearby people. Corrective Actions: Ducati will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorcycle to a dealer to replace the side stand.

U.S. NHTSA recalls
01- STRUCTURE:MOTORCYCLE:KICKSTAND/CENTER STAND#19V825000
Ducati North America (Ducati) is recalling certain 2018 Multistrada 1260, 1260S, and Pikes Peak motorcycles. The side stand may be improperly welded, potentially causing the stand to break.
Risk: If the stand breaks the motorcycle may unexpectedly fall over, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Ducati will notify owners, and dealers will replace the side stand, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin January 2, 2020. Owners may contact Ducati customer service at 1-888-391-5446. Ducati's number for this recall is SRV-RCL-19-004.
