02- Seats And Restraints#2024718
25,106 units affected
Issue: Certain child seats may not meet the requirements of the Canadian regulations when installed in a rear-facing position using the universal anchorage system (UAS). Safety Risk: A child seat that doesn't meet the requirements of the Canadian regulations could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Diono advises that you may continue to use the seat in a rear-facing position if you install it using the vehicle seat belt. Diono will notify registered owners in writing. You should contact Diono to obtain a free remedy kit that includes a foam insert and instructions for how to install it. If you have not yet registered your seat, have moved, or have any questions about this recall, you can contact Diono at: 1-866-954-9786 or https://diono.ca
- Label#2021503
10,744 units affected
Issue: On certain child car seats, the text on the date of manufacture label is too small. There are also some small errors/omissions on the labels. Canadian regulations require companies to provide certain information with each child seat, and that text on labels is of a minimum size. Safety Risk: The text size and small errors on the labels are unlikely to affect safety. Corrective Actions: This is not a recall. Owners can continue to use their seat. The company has made changes to correct all future labels. Owners should refer to the owner's manual or contact the company if they have any questions about how to use the seat.
