03- Brakes#2024558
21 units affected
Issue: On certain personal transportation and light-utility vehicles, the rod that connects the brake pedal could become bent when excessive force is applied to the pedal. If this happens, the brakes may not fully apply and could cause reduced braking. Note: This recall only affects certain vehicles equipped with hydraulic brakes. Safety Risk: Reduced braking can cause increased stopping distances and create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Textron will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the hydraulic brake linkage rod.
- Electrical#2023380
57 units affected
Issue: On certain vehicles, the wiring for the motor and speed sensor may not be secured properly. As a result, the wiring could become damaged over time. Under certain conditions, this could cause a short circuit and the vehicle could move suddenly. Safety Risk: A vehicle that moves suddenly could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Textron will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to reroute the wiring for the motor and speed sensor. The dealer will also inspect the wiring for damage, and repair it as needed. To reduce the safety risk, Textron advises not to use your vehicle until the recall repairs have been completed.
- Electrical#2019444
195 units affected
Issue: On certain low speed vehicles, the starter generator wire may not be properly secured. This could result in contact between the wire and the exhaust. If the exhaust is hot, it could melt the wire and cause a short circuit. Safety Risk: A short circuit could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Owners should stop using their vehicle until the recall repairs are completed. The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to inspect, and if necessary, re-route the starter generator wire away from the exhaust.
