On certain travel trailers equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly. On certain travel trailers, the Federal Certification label and the Tire and Loading Information label do not contain the correct Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) and Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). The labels incorrectly indicate a GAWR of 2,135 kg (4,703 lb) instead of 1,082 kg (2,384 lb), and a GVWR of 3,421 kg (7,535 lb) instead of 1,564 kg (3,444 lb). As such, the vehicle could be unwittingly overloaded, which would result in poor vehicle handling characteristics, increasing the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Updated labels will be mailed to owners of affected vehicles, along with instructions for proper installation.

Cruiser RV is recalling certain model year 2006-2013 Fun Finder, Shadow Cruiser, Fun Finder Xtra, Viewfinder, Signature, Radiance, Enterra recreational trailers manufactured January 1, 2006, through April 25, 2013 and equipped with Fastec-brand door locks. It may be possible to remove the key from the lock in a way that potentially jams the deadbolt.
Risk: If the deadbolt jams, the interior side of the door lock may also jam. A person inside the travel trailer at the time will then be locked in and be unable to exit the vehicle without using the emergency exit, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Cruiser RV will notify owners, and Fastec will coordinate the inspection and replacement of the cylinders, as needed, free of charge. The recall began January 20, 2014. Owners may contact Cruiser RV at 1-260-562-3500 or Fastec at 1-800-837-2505.

CRUISER RV IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2011 SHADOW CRUISER AND VIEWFINDER RECREATIONAL VEHICLES, MANUFACTURED FROM APRIL 21, 2011, THROUGH SEPTEMBER 6, 2011. THESE VEHICLES HAVE THE INCORRECT FEDERAL ID TAG, GROSS VEHICLE WEIGHT RATING (GVWR) INFORMATION LABELS WHICH FAILS TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF PART 567, "CERTIFICATION."
Risk: FAILURE TO FOLLOW PROPER VEHICLE LOADING SPECIFICATIONS BECAUSE OF A MISPRINTED LABEL COULD INCREASE THE RISK OF A CRASH.
Remedy: CRUISER RV WILL MAIL TO CONSUMERS THE CORRECTED LABEL OR THE CUSTOMER WILL HAVE THE OPTION FOR DEALERS TO INSTALL THE LABEL FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON NOVEMBER 30, 2011. OWNERS MAY CONTACT CRUISER RV AT 1-574-457-6472.
