Certain travel trailers may have been manufactured with an incorrect awning switch that could allow the awning to continue to unroll after the switch is released. If this occurs while the vehicle is in transit, it could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the awning switch.
- Brakes#2018168
154 units affected
On certain travel trailers, a brake wire could be improperly attached to the spring assembly on the axles. Under certain circumstances, the brake wire could be damaged by the axle springs and short, which would increase the risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will relocate the brake wire.

On certain vehicles equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly. Certain travel trailers equipped with an exterior Flame King cook top may have a corrugated fiber board protector for the propane regulator. When the cook top is in use, the burner flame could invert due to an oversized pan being used, or a breeze, which may cause the corrugated fiber board protector to burn, and potentially catch fire, which could increase the risk of a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the corrugated fiber board protector and the burner top for possible damage. If no damage is present, the existing fiber board regulator cover will be replaced with a metal cover. If there is damage to the corrugated fiber board protector found, dealers will replace the cook top.

Certain travel trailers may have been manufactured with an incorrect propane detector and carbon monoxide detector. The installed component only includes a propane detector, but not a carbon monoxide detector. If an enclosed recreational vehicle is missing a carbon monoxide detector, it would not alert the occupants to a possible elevated level of carbon monoxide, which could result in asphyxiation or carbon monoxide poisoning to the vehicle occupants. Correction: Dealers will install a carbon monoxide detector.

U.S. NHTSA recalls
04- SERVICE BRAKES, ELECTRIC#18V217000
Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain 2018 Crossroads Cruiser and Volante recreational trailers. The brake wire may have been improperly attached to the spring assembly on the axles, allowing the wire to be damaged and short circuit.
Risk: Damage to the wire can cause a loss of trailer braking, lengthening the distance needed to stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. An electrical short of the brake wire can increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Keystone will notify owners, and dealers will relocate the brake wiring as needed, free of charge. The recall began on April 18, 2018. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone's number for this recall is 18-316

Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. For a full list of the affected fire extinguisher models visit: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2017/RMISC-17E062-5427.pdf
