Certain tires may fail to comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 139 — New Radial Ply Tires for Motor Vehicles With a GVWR of 4 536 kg or less. The tires are marked with the "Mountain Snowflake" winter tire symbol, but fail to meet the traction requirements for winter tires prescribed by the standard. As a result, the subject tires may not provide expected traction or performance in winter conditions, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace affected tires with similar tires that conform to the standard.
