Issue: On one school bus, the body panels may not have been attached correctly. As a result, the bus may not meet the joint strength requirements of Canadian regulations, and the panels could separate in a crash. Safety Risk: A body joint that separates in a crash could increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify the owner by mail and advise them to take their school bus to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, add adhesive to secure the body panel joints.

Issue: On certain school buses, the wheelchair tie-down retractors may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the retractor(s) may not lock automatically. If this happens, the wheelchair may not be secured correctly and could move in a crash. Safety Risk: A wheelchair that moves in a crash could increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: None of the affected school buses have been delivered to customers. Forest River will instruct dealers to inspect and, if necessary, replace the wheelchair retractor(s) before the school buses are delivered.
