    Issue: On certain RV trailers, the 12 V wiring for the distribution panel may not have been installed properly. As a result, the wiring may not have proper circuit protection. If this happens, the wiring could overheat and melt before the circuit breaker trips. Safety Risk: Wiring that overheats and melts could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Forest River advises you not to plug in the RV trailer until the recall repairs have been completed. Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to correct the wiring.

    Issue: On certain RV trailers, certain 12 V wiring may not have proper circuit protection. As a result, the wiring could overheat and melt before the circuit breaker trips. Safety Risk: Wiring that overheats and melts could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Forest River advises not to use the exterior lamps, awning and auto leveling system until the recall repairs have been completed. Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your trailer to a dealership to add circuit protection to the wiring.

    Issue: On certain RV trailers, the receiver for the removable step on the side of the trailer may not have been attached properly. As a result, the receiver could detach from the bracket and cause a person to fall. Safety risk: A step that detaches could create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to inspect and, as necessary, reattach the receiver for the removable step.

    Issue: On a small number of RV trailers, the waste water tank vent may not have been installed properly. As a result, gas from the waste water tank could enter the RV. Safety Risk: Sewer gas that enters the RV could increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: None of the affected trailers have been delivered to customers. Forest River will instruct dealers to properly install the waste water tank vent before the trailers are delivered.

    Issue: On certain RV trailers, the solar panel may not have been wired correctly to the solar controller. As a result, the wiring could overheat and melt and cause a short circuit. Safety Risk: A short circuit can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Forest River advises not to use the solar power system until the recall repairs are completed. Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your trailer to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, correct the wiring for the solar panel.

As a result, gas from the waste water tank could enter the RV. Safety Risk: Sewer gas that enters the RV could increase the risk of injury.   • ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING#25V682000

    Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Forest River Aurora, Coachmen Catalina, 2026 Coachmen Viking, Coachmen Clipper, 2016-2026 Wildwood, and Salem recreational trailers. The distribution panel wire may be connected to the battery without over current protection.

    Risk: Unprotected wiring can increase the risk of a fire.

    Remedy: Dealers will relocate the distribution panel wire to the correct side of the breaker, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 18, 2025. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-825-4995. Forest River's number for this recall is 205-1987.

  • ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING#25V264000

    Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Forest River Aurora and Coachmen Catalina travel trailers. Please see the 573 report for the complete list of model numbers. The front exterior accent lights, awning, and auto-leveling system may be incorrectly wired and not have proper over current circuit protection.

    Risk: Wiring without circuit protection may become damaged and short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire.

    Remedy: Dealers will add circuit protection to the accent lights, awning, and auto leveling system, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 29, 2025. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-825-4995. Forest River's number for this recall is 300-1922.

  • STRUCTURE:BODY:STEP/LADDER#25V245000

    Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Coachmen Catalina, Forest River Aurora, Cascade, Cedar Creek, Cherokee, Sandpiper, Sierra, 2025 Campsite Reserve, Impression, Pause, Puma, Sabre, Salem, Vengeance, and Wildwood fifth wheel and travel trailers, equipped with a removable step assembly. The clip-on bracket mounting bolts may come loose, allowing the steps to detach.

    Risk: Steps that detach while in use increase the risk of injury.

    Remedy: Dealers will inspect and repair or replace the clip-on bracket as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 28, 2025.   • EQUIPMENT:RECREATIONAL VEHICLE/TRAILER:PLUMBING:SEWAGE/BLACK:STORAGE TANK#25V230000

    Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain Coachmen Catalina BCAT154RBX travel trailers. The wastewater holding tank pipe may not extend to the exterior of the vehicle, allowing sewer gas to enter the cabin.

    Risk: Sewer gas inside the cabin increases the risk of injury.

    Remedy: Dealers will extend the ventilation pipe, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 25, 2025. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-825-4995. Forest River's number for this recall is 203-1917.

  • EQUIPMENT:RECREATIONAL VEHICLE/TRAILER#25V112000

    Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2025 Coachmen Catalina ACAT35FME travel trailers. The towing coupler may be underrated for the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of the trailer.

    Risk: An underrated towing coupler can break, allowing the trailer to detach from the tow vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash.

    Remedy: Dealers will replace the coupler, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 2, 2025. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 574-825-4995. Forest River's number for this recall is 205-1897.

  • EQUIPMENT:OTHER:LABELS#25V111000

    Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2017-2025 Coachmen Catalina, 2020-2025 Aurora, and 2025 Puma travel trailers. The Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) on the Federal placard may exceed the safety chain rating. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 110, "Tire Selection and Rims" and 120, "Wheels and Rims - Other Than Passenger Cars."

    Risk: An incorrect weight rating may lead to unintentionally overloading the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

    Remedy: Forest River will mail owners a corrected Federal Placard with application instructions, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 24, 2025.   • EQUIPMENT:OTHER:LABELS#25V034000

    Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2025 Coachmen Catalina travel trailers. The Federal Placard label lists an incorrect vehicle dry weight.

    Risk: Referencing an incorrect label may lead to unintentionally overloading the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
