    Issue: On certain RV trailers, certain 12 V wiring may not have proper circuit protection. As a result, the wiring could overheat and melt before the circuit breaker trips. Safety Risk: Wiring that overheats and melts could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Forest River advises not to use the exterior lamps, awning and auto leveling system until the recall repairs have been completed. Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your trailer to a dealership to add circuit protection to the wiring.

    Issue: On certain RV trailers, the receiver for the removable step on the side of the trailer may not have been attached properly. As a result, the receiver could detach from the bracket and cause a person to fall. Safety risk: A step that detaches could create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to inspect and, as necessary, reattach the receiver for the removable step.

    Issue: On certain RV trailers, the solar panel may not have been wired correctly to the solar controller. As a result, the wiring could overheat and melt and cause a short circuit. Safety Risk: A short circuit can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Forest River advises not to use the solar power system until the recall repairs are completed. Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your trailer to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, correct the wiring for the solar panel.

    Issue: On certain RV trailers, the interior cooktop burner could be affected by the operation of the furnace. This could cause the burner flame to invert. Safety Risk: An inverted burner flame could create the risk of a burn injury or cause a fire. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your trailer to a dealership to seal any gaps in the cabinet between the cooktop and the furnace. To reduce the safety risk, Forest River recommends that the furnace and cooktop should not be used at the same time before the recall repairs have been completed.

    Issue: On certain RV trailers, the power wire for the distribution panel may not have proper circuit protection. As a result, the wire could overheat and melt. Safety Risk: Wiring that overheats and melts can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to rewire the power wire to the distribution panel properly.

    Issue: On a small number of RV trailers, the left tire could contact the slide room adjustment bolt or the slide ram. As a result, the tire could become damaged and fail. Safety Risk: A tire failure could cause a loss of control and result in a crash. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to replace the slide adjustment bolt and install a kit to provide additional clearance for the tire.

  • ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING#25V264000

    Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Forest River Aurora and Coachmen Catalina travel trailers. Please see the 573 report for the complete list of model numbers. The front exterior accent lights, awning, and auto-leveling system may be incorrectly wired and not have proper over current circuit protection.

    Risk: Wiring without circuit protection may become damaged and short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire.

    Remedy: Dealers will add circuit protection to the accent lights, awning, and auto leveling system, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 29, 2025. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-825-4995. Forest River's number for this recall is 300-1922.

  • STRUCTURE:BODY:STEP/LADDER#25V245000

    Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Coachmen Catalina, Forest River Aurora, Cascade, Cedar Creek, Cherokee, Sandpiper, Sierra, 2025 Campsite Reserve, Impression, Pause, Puma, Sabre, Salem, Vengeance, and Wildwood fifth wheel and travel trailers, equipped with a removable step assembly. The clip-on bracket mounting bolts may come loose, allowing the steps to detach.

    Risk: Steps that detach while in use increase the risk of injury.

    Remedy: Dealers will inspect and repair or replace the clip-on bracket as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 28, 2025.   • EQUIPMENT:OTHER:LABELS#25V111000

    Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2017-2025 Coachmen Catalina, 2020-2025 Aurora, and 2025 Puma travel trailers. The Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) on the Federal placard may exceed the safety chain rating. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 110, "Tire Selection and Rims" and 120, "Wheels and Rims - Other Than Passenger Cars."

    Risk: An incorrect weight rating may lead to unintentionally overloading the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

    Remedy: Forest River will mail owners a corrected Federal Placard with application instructions, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 24, 2025.   • EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:OVEN/STOVE/COOKTOP#24V280000

    Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024 Coachmen Catalina BCAT154RDX and Forest River Aurora BART15RDX travel trailers. The panel that isolates the cooktop from the furnace was not properly sealed during manufacturing, which could result in an inverted cooktop flame.

    Risk: A inverted cooktop flame increases the risk of a fire.

    Remedy: Dealers will seal the furnace from the cooktop, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 1, 2024. Owners may contact Forest River Customer Service at 1-574-825-4995. Forest River's number for this recall is 203-1766.

  • ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING#24V254000

    Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024 Aurora and Coachmen Catalina Travel Trailers. Improper routing may leave the distribution panel wire unprotected from the battery.

    Risk: An unprotected wire increases the risk of a fire.

    Remedy: Dealers will reroute the distribution panel wire to the breaker side of the mini breaker, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 26, 2024. Owners may contact Forest River Customer Service at 1-574-825-4995. Forest River's number for this recall is 203-1757.

  • TIRES#24V094000

    Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024 Coachmen Catalina and Forest River Aurora travel trailers. The tire may contact the slide adjustment bolt and puncture the tire.

    Risk: A punctured tire can cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

    Remedy: Dealers will replace the slide adjustment bolt and install a shackle kit, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 19, 2024. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-825-4995. Forest River's number for this recall is 205-1735.
