    Issue: On certain RV trailers, the emergency trailer breakaway switch may not be wired correctly. As a result, the trailer brakes may not self-apply if the trailer separates from the tow vehicle. Safety Risk: A trailer breakaway switch that does not work properly could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to rewire the trailer breakaway switch.

    Issue: On certain RV trailers and motorhomes, the fabric for the patio awning may not be properly attached. As a result, the awning could detach and fall from the vehicle. Safety Risk: An awning that falls from the vehicle could create a risk of injury. An awning that falls from a moving vehicle could create road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the fabric roll on the awning. It will be repaired or replaced, as necessary.

    Issue: On certain RV trailers, the emergency trailer breakaway switch may not be wired correctly. If the battery disconnect switch is in the "Off" position, the breakaway switch does not have power. As a result, the trailer brakes may not self-apply if the trailer separates from the tow vehicle. Safety Risk: A trailer breakaway switch that does not work properly could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your travel trailer to a dealer to rewire the trailer breakaway switch. You must ensure that the battery disconnect switch is turned to the "On" position while towing, until the recall repairs are completed.

    Issue: On certain RV trailers and motorhomes, the quick disconnect fittings for the propane (LP) gas system may be defective. As a result, the fittings could crack and leak propane. Safety Risk: A propane gas leak could create the risk of a fire or explosion. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your RV trailer or motorhome to a dealership to replace the quick disconnect fittings on the propane system and perform a leak test.

    Issue: On certain RV trailers, the wire connections for the shore power inlet may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the connections could loosen and cause a short circuit or electrical arcing (sparks). Safety Risk: A short circuit or electrical arcing could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealer to replace the shore power inlet.

    Issue: On certain travel trailers, the interior cooktop burner could be affected by the operation of the furnace. This could potentially cause the burner flame to invert. Note: This is an expansion of Forest River recall 203-1434 (Transport Canada Recall No. 2021-646). Safety Risk: An inverted burner flame could create the risk of a burn injury or cause a fire. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealer to seal any gaps that could allow return air from the furnace to cause an inverted flame on the cooktop. To minimize the safety risk, Forest River recommends that the furnace and interior cooktop should not be used at the same time before the recall repairs have been completed.

    Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2017-2025 Coachmen Catalina, 2020-2025 Aurora, and 2025 Puma travel trailers. The Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) on the Federal placard may exceed the safety chain rating. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 110, "Tire Selection and Rims" and 120, "Wheels and Rims - Other Than Passenger Cars."

    Risk: An incorrect weight rating may lead to unintentionally overloading the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

    Remedy: Forest River will mail owners a corrected Federal Placard with application instructions, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 24, 2025. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 5745-825-4995, and Puma customer service at 1-574-642-0588. Forest River's number for this recall is 51-1895.

(Forest River) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Coachmen Catalina, Cross Trail, Pursuit, Sportscoach, East to West Della Terra, Silver Lake, Forest River Forester, FR3, Sunseeker, Wildwood, 2022 Coachmen Adrenaline, Apex, Brookstone, Chaparral, Chapparral Lite, Clipper, Freedom Express, Independence Trail, Mirada, Spirit, Viking, Work and Play, East to West Ahara, Tandara, Forest River Aurora, Cardinal, Cedar Creek, Cherokee, Flagstaff, Georgetown, Ibex, Impression, Ozark, Puma, R-Pod, Rockwood, Sabre, Salem, Sandpiper, Sandstorm, Shockwave, Sierra, Solera, Stealth, Stealth Evo, Surveyor, Vengeance, Vibe, Wildcat, XLR Toyhauler, Prime Time Avenger, Crusader, Lacrosse, Sanibel, Tracer, Shasta Oasis, and Phoenix fifth wheel and travel trailers. The electric retractable awning has a welded seam on the fabric that may separate, potentially allowing the awning to drop beyond normal operation.

    Risk: An awning that drops or extends beyond normal operation can increase the risk of injury.

    Remedy: Dealers will replace the fabric roll or complete awning, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 17, 2022.     Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2022 Coachmen Catalina travel trailers. The breakaway switch may be incorrectly wired to the battery disconnect, which can prevent the trailer brakes from activating as intended.

    Risk: Trailer brakes that fail to activate can increase the risk of a crash.

    Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2020-2022 Coachmen Catalina, and 2021-2022 Forest River Aurora travel trailers. The breakaway switch may be incorrectly wired to the battery disconnect, which can prevent the trailer brakes from activating as intended.

(Forest River) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Coachmen Adrenaline, Apex, Catalina, Freedom Express, Spirit, East to West Alta, Della Terra, Silver Lake, Forest River Cedar Creek, Cherokee, Columbus, Flagstaff, Impression, Ozark, Rockwood, Sabre, Salem, Sandstorm, Shockwave, Stealth, Stealth Evo, Vengeance, Vibe, Wildwood, XLR Toyhauler, Palomino Puma, Prime Time Avenger, Crusader, Lacrosse, Sanibel, Shasta Oasis, 2022 Coachmen Cross Trail, Prism, Forest River Aurora, Rainier, Wildcat, Work and Play, Prime Time Tracer, 2021-2023 Coachmen Leprechaun, and 2022-2023 Coachmen Freelander fifth wheel and travel trailer recreational vehicles. The quick disconnect fittings in the LP gas system may be cracked, causing a gas leak.

    Risk: A gas leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

    Remedy: Dealers will replace the quick disconnect and perform a LP system check, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 20, 2022. Owners may contact the applicable customer service number for their vehicle model. Please see the recall report for the list of phone numbers.

  • ELECTRICAL SYSTEM#22V135000

    Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2022 Coachmen Catalina, Aurora, Apex, Freedom Express, Spirit, Work N Play, Forest River XLR Toy Hauler, Vengeance, Sabre, Cherokee, and Cardinal travel trailers and fifth wheels. The wire cord that connects to the back of the 50AMP shore power inlet may be loose.

    Risk: Loose wires may contact each other and cause an electrical short, increasing the risk of a fire.

    Remedy: Dealers will replace the shore cord inlet, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 5, 2022.     Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Coachmen Catalina and Forest River Aurora travel trailers. The panel that isolates the cooktop from the furnace was not properly sealed during manufacturing, which could result in an inverted cooktop flame.

    Risk: An inverted flame can increase the risk of a fire.

    Remedy: Dealers will seal the furnace from the cooktop, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 1, 2022. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-825-8657. Forest River's number for this recall is 203-1454. This recall is an expansion of recall 21V-828.

  • EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:OVEN/STOVE/COOKTOP#21V828000

    Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2022 Coachmen Catalina travel trailers. The panel that separates the furnace from the cooktop was not sealed, which could result in an inverted cooktop flame.

    Risk: An inverted flame can increase the risk of a fire.

    Remedy: Dealers will seal the furnace from the cooktop, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 1, 2021. Owners may contact Forest River Customer Service at 1-574-825-8657. Forest River's number for this recall is 203-1434.
