    Issue: On certain motorhomes and RV trailers, the fasteners that attach the solar panel may loosen or pull out. If this happens, a solar panel could separate from the vehicle while driving. Safety Risk: A solar panel that detaches from the vehicle could create a hazard for other road users and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome or RV trailer to a dealership to install an added bracket to secure the solar panel. If the solar panel has detached, a replacement will be installed.

    Issue: On certain RV trailers, a cross-member that supports the waste holding tank(s) may not have been properly installed. As a result, the tank(s) could fall and detach from the trailer. Safety Risk: A waste holding tank that falls on the road could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, relocate the cross-member that supports the waste holding tank(s).

    Issue: On certain RV trailers and motorhomes, the fabric for the patio awning may not be properly attached. As a result, the awning could detach and fall from the vehicle. Safety Risk: An awning that falls from the vehicle could create a risk of injury. An awning that falls from a moving vehicle could create road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the fabric roll on the awning. It will be repaired or replaced, as necessary.

    On certain travel trailers equipped with Frigidaire KG series microwaves, a defect in the microwave oven keypad could cause the oven to activate without pressing any keys. This could result in excessive heat, smoke or possibly a fire. Correction: Dealers will replace affected keypads. In the interim, consumers should unplug their microwave ovens, if possible. If the consumer is unable to unplug the microwave, they should leave the door ajar until the microwave is replaced.

    On certain fifth wheels, travel trailers and motorhomes, the electrical motor for the awning could become damaged, allowing the awning to unfurl unexpectedly. As a result, the awning could strike another vehicle, a stationary object, or a bystander, causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the awning motor.

Incorrect venting could cause a fire which may result in property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, rotate the blower unit so that the exhaust port faces the front of the cabinet.

    Certain refrigerators used in Recreational Vehicles (RVs) contain either a sensing algorithm or a thermal switch to interrupt power when it detects high temperatures that could lead to a fire. An insufficient response time can result in the power not being shut-off in sufficient time to prevent a fire, which could result in property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will install a thermocouple with a faster response time for all refrigerators with a sensing algorithm or a thermal switch.

    On certain fifth wheel trailers, the Atwood 35-series range oven, model number beginning with RV1735, RV2135, RA1735, or RA2135, may develop a small crack within the line delivering gas to the oven cavity burner. A propane leak, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire and/or explosion, causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the oven supply tube.
