  • Steering#2017048

    12,035 units affected

On certain vehicles, melting snow and water containing road salt may enter the vehicle and corrode a splice connection in the electric power steering (EPS) module circuit. This could lead to increased resistance in the EPS circuit which could result in intermittent or permanent loss of the steering assist. A loss of power steering assist could unexpectedly increase steering effort which would increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will seal the affected connection and repair it as necessary.

  • Airbag#2015511

    10,427 units affected

On certain vehicles, corrosion in the driver and passenger airbag wiring harness connectors could cause a fault in the airbag sensing system. This could result in the airbag light illuminating on the instrument cluster and a "Service Air Bag" message to appear in the Driver Information Centre. Over time, the corrosion could reach a level where the front airbags and seatbelt pretensioners would not deploy in a crash. Failure of these components to deploy during a crash (where deployment is warranted) could increase the risk of injury. Correction: Dealers will repair the driver and passenger airbag wiring harness.

  • Brakes#2014557

    380 units affected

Certain vehicles may have been manufactured with a misrouted front brake hose assembly that could rupture causing a loss of brake fluid, increased brake pedal travel and/or increased stopping distances, which could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will replace both front brake hoses with new redesigned parts.
